Nursery and Reception

Children are admitted into the Nursery at the start of the academic year (September) in which they turn four years old. Children join the Reception class at the start of the academic year (September) in which they turn five years old. We follow the statutory framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) in the Nursery and Reception classes. The Nursery and Reception departments work very closely together as the Foundation Stage.

Much of the kodesh and chol curricula are integrated and focus on the Early Learning Goals' six areas of learning, which are:

  • personal, social and emotional development
  • communication, language and literacy
  • problem solving, reasoning and numeracy
  • knowledge and understanding of the world
  • physical development
  • creative development
